Displayed in a Dusseldorf showroom is this impressive model of the city's waterfront. The view is similar to that from the viewing platform of the telecoms tower.

Small Worlds

When I was 13 my father gave me a scalpel and some blades. I have been making models ever since, originally as an all consuming hobby and for the past 20 years as a full time occupation.

I have found myself constructing almost every type of project imaginable. I seem however to increasingly find myself building town planning models although you never know what's coming next.

Up here in the valleys near Buxton I often get asked if I feel isolated but surprisingly the transport links to Manchester and other towns are quite good and I can easily be at Manchester Airport in half an hour.

I have a fairly quick turnaround and find that there is a great deal of variety in the work that I do.
